Wrapping up 2024 with some numbers
As 2024 draws to a close, we’re taking a moment to look back on what we’ve achieved, and we decided to run the numbers on some of this year's community engagement.
In 2024, we travelled across the UK for a variety of exciting projects, working with new councils and connecting with diverse communities in places like Buxton, Oldham, Harrow, Cambridge and Great Yarmouth.
Over the course of the year:
We facilitated 52 workshops, averaging one per week.
We spent 124 hours engaging with local people during community events.
This resulted in 1,224 in-person conversations (well, those that we officially recorded for our research).
Additionally, we dedicated 12 hours to youth engagement through activities and workshops in schools, colleges and with youth organisations.
Phew!
These conversations played a key factor in shaping our research and provided valuable insights that built on our knowledge of the communities.
We’re looking forward to seeing what 2025 brings and where in the country our projects might take us. As we finalise our submission for B Corp status, we know that working to empower underrepresented groups will become even more important next year.
Get in touch if you would like help you with your next project. We’re taking some well-earned time off, but we’ll be back in early January.
