Office views of Norwich's historical skyline

Filigree’s early days were in the bustling streets of London, surrounded by large crowds and grey buildings. Moving to the beautiful, historic city of Norwich was a breath of fresh air — a peaceful next chapter that also made great business sense. Our office is now perfectly situated in the centre of the city, offering stunning views of Norwich’s most iconic landmarks: Norwich Castle and the Cathedral.

Being based in the heart of Norwich comes with plenty of perks — everything is close by and getting around is a breeze. Our office, like most of the buildings around us, is 1970’s style, but look out the window, and it’s almost like you’ve been taken back in time.

England’s second tallest spire

Directly across from us stands the majestic Norwich Cathedral, a 900-year-old masterpiece with one of the tallest spires in the UK, soaring to over 96 metres (second only to Salisbury Cathedral) Its awe-inspiring architecture never fails to captivate us, especially with such a close view. On sunny days, the golden rays of the sun illuminate its grand spires, casting a warm, inviting glow that fills the entire room. The details of the architecture stand out against the clear blue sky, making it a comforting sight during a long day at the office. Even when the weather turns wet and stormy, the cathedral remains a beautiful and steadfast presence.

A medieval marvel

Look in the opposite direction and we enjoy the sight of Norwich’s iconic castle. Its towering, ancient walls stand out against the skyline, filling the area with a profound sense of heritage. Though the castle’s beauty remains timeless, at over 900 years old, it’s now undergoing a significant regeneration project, “Norwich Castle: Gateway to Medieval England.” The project aims to restore the castle to its former glory, transforming it into a world-class historical attraction reminiscent of its days under the Norman kings.

Working so close to Norwich's historic landmarks makes it easier to appreciate both the city’s present and its past. Surrounded by these iconic sites, our work environment gains a unique twist that makes us feel privileged to be part of a place that values both heritage and progress, making Norwich the perfect home for Filigree.
